Diane Buzta

Through countless service projects, Diane Bustza has had a great impact on Coon Rapids; it is clear she loves her community and strives to create opportunities and enjoyment for everyone. Diane plays an active role in numerous programs including directing the Coon Rapids Snowflake Association, Coon Rapids Junior Royalty, Miss Coon Rapids Scholarship Program, and Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen Program, and serving as a charter member for the Coon Rapids North Star Lions group, Parade Chair for the Coon Rapids Celebrations, and a member of the Coon Rapids 50th Anniversary Committee.

To stay on top of all of these endeavors, Diane is hands on and hard working from start to finish. Her commitment and dedication is simply amazing. Moreover, despite placing so much time and energy into service initiatives, Diane also manages to work a full time job with the National Guard, make time for her family (including her great husband Jack who served in Iraq for a year, college-aged daughter, and high school son) supporting them with their activities, taking care of the house, and meeting the family business needs for JD Construction especially when Jack was in Iraq.

Diane sees the good in people and she makes them see it, too. She is a true friend who truly makes a difference in the lives of others without even realizing it. She is dedicated and committed to everything she does—there is no halfway approach for her! Most remarkable, she expects nothing in return (she actually gets uncomfortable), but would rather see someone else reap the rewards. Diane is truly an inspiration to everyone she meets.
