Inspiring Family: "The Heid Family - To Iraq and Back"
The Denver Heid Family is just one of the many American families that have handled a long and hard deployment in Iraq with conviction and courage. Denver
Heid willingly served our country through his National Guard unit sent to Iraq for a yearlong mission. As a young mother alone, Kelly was amazing in the
marvelous way she maintained her growing family in Dad's absence. She readily admits she relied on family, friends and neighbors who came to her aid at just the
right time and in just the right way. She claims they were direct answers to her many prayers and served to strengthen her faith during her husband's work in Iraq.
Young Isaac and Sydney were also great helpers to Mom giving the best kind of love and support. They helped with their younger brother and the new baby who came
while Denver was in Iraq. They made the lonely times better with lots of hugs!
There are countless ways that people inspire us, but one of the most stirring is when people face a difficult circumstance in their lives with strength and
certainty and are able to rise above it and take us all with them. This is truly the case with this family. That is why they deserved to be crowned an Inspiring
American Family! Inspiring America extends a big thank you to all the service families in America!
