Meet Mary Jo and Marty...

At the Maplewood Night of Inspiration Concert, Marty came to the stage to recognize Mary Jo, who is battling cancer, as a woman who has inspired him beyond
measure. Her strength and faith in the wake of disease gave him such hope and encouragement as he mustered through his own daily trials and tribulations. And,
wouldn't you know that as Marty was feeling so encouraged and inspired by Mary Jo, that Mary Jo was also feeling inspired by Marty.
Mary Jo wrote, "Marty is a cancer survivor himself who stood alongside me in prayer. He was very encouraging in hoping for a miracle (which I received!) while
going through treatment for the last five years for stage 4 ovarian cancer and stage 3 colon cancer. He selflessly gives of his time volunteering at the Healing
Rooms of St Paul, which operate in Redeeming Love Church, and volunteers for alter prayer ministry during services. I received prayer and encouragement many times
from him and his wife at church services. When the doctors gave a bad report, he reminded me of all powerful scriptures to stand on and believe for my healing. Recently,
the test showed the cancer count was in the normal range.
I have been blessed to know Marty and have his prayers and encouragement in my life during this difficult time. He has been an inspiration to me to keep believing
for my complete healing to come and that through God all things are possible...nothing is beyond his reach."
