Meet Lucy...

My grandma Lucy is one of the most amazing women I have ever known. She is 91 years old, still lives by herself, does Aquasize 3 times per week, and continues
to give of her time to the people in her community. Not only does she represent the matriarch of our family, but she represents the type of person who I think
we should all strive to emulate. Her sense of humor is absolutely contagious. Her spirit for living and loving is inspiring. When you talk with my grandma, you
feel like you are the only person who truly matters in the world. She has the God-given ability to story tell and when she speaks, you listen. Her stories are
laden with practical advice all the while being wildly entertaining. I would like to nominate my grandmother as an Inspiring American because she has taught me
how to be a mother, a daughter, a sister and a friend. I feel blessed and honored to not only be her granddaughter, but to be in the world with someone like her.
